Fear Factor Birthday Party

June 4th, Sara turned 10 years old. It is crazy to think she is that old, or should I say that I am old enough to have a ten year old. This year she decided to do a Fear Factor/Survivor birthday party. We had so much fun planning it. First we split the girls into teams. And each team came up with a name according to the color of bandana they were wearing.

The Pink Flamingos
The Green Giants
The Survivors
The first game: As a team putting a puzzle together to test their smarts.
The Survivors won!!!
The next game was a bubble blowing contest. Everyone on the team had to have a bubble blown, and the first team to do so won. Pink Flamingos won!
Next, we had bowls of jello will gummy worms inside. Each person on the team had to use their feet to get a worm out then run back and tag their team mate. They all ended up with red toes.
Balancing contest... They had to balance on one leg. Well 6 girls lasted over 5 minutes so we gave each player 5 points for their team.
Next we had pie tins full of whip cream with gummy worms inside. They had to use their mouths to get a worm out, and then tag their team mate.
This is the end result. They had a blast getting messy!!

Next they had to see which team could get the most water in the cup. The team mate standing had a cup of water and were blind folded. The person in the chair was holding a small cup and the person standing had to try to fill up the empty cup. The girls got a little wet.

I don't think Sara was able to get much water in this cup. I just think Sammie got soaked.
Sara is it cold???

Then we measured each teams water to see who had the most.
Soon it was time for shaving cream. We put shaving cream on one person per teams arms, and their team mates had 5 cheetos. Each girl had to throw the chips on to the person trying to get them to stick.
The team with the most cheeteos won.
Finally it was time for the obstacle course. The girls had to get a plastic worm with their mouths out of the swim pool.
Go through the swings...
Down the slide . . .
And on the slip n' slide while carrying a water balloon. If the water balloon popped they had to start over. Then the next person went. Each team was timed and the best time won. The prizes were whoopee cushions, slimy hands, and a balloon toy.
After all the games, it was time to eat some Dirt. Worms, ice cream, and oreos.
While everyone ate, Sara opened her gifts. The party went longer than planned so I called all the moms and told them to come a half hour later to pick up the girls. So while they waited to be picked up, the girls slip n slide some more.

After the party, I took Sara birthday shopping for a bike. However, they were still a little big for her (the 10 speeds), so she got a skirt, shirt and shorts . . .

rollerblades . . .
and her most favorite thing a glitter bouncy ball.
Then everyone went outside to play hockey with their rollerblades on. Nicole and Ben had fun getting the ball from each other.
Go Sara!! They played for an hour or so. It was such a fun day! I am glad I was able to spend so much time with Sara and have this special day.
