Thankgiving Point

My Sister in Law, Angie invited Ben and I to go with her and her kids to Thanksgiving Point. It was the last Tuesday in August, so everything was 2.00 to get in, and I think all of Utah was there. Even though it was so crowded we had a BLAST!
Ben and I will the horses.
Ben loved looking at the pigs.
We bought corn to feed the goats, and Ben thought it was great! He was laughing so hard because the tongue tickled his hand. He even got brave enough to do it by himself. I think the goats there are starved, just look at him, he is practically climbing out the gate.

Ben in his cute cowboy hat. He was so excited to ride the ponies. He had to wear his cowboy boots, hat, pants, and a cowboy looking shirt. What a cutie!
Well, my wonderful brother, sat in line for over an hour so the boys could ride the ponies. Did I mention it was crowded??? Well at first Ben loved it, but. . . . .
Within 4 or 5 steps, he was screaming to get off. Moms were watching, commenting on how sad that he was upset. But I think they were really thinking, I can't believe that mom is making him sit on the pony, when he hates it so badly. So I said to them in a laughing voice, We waited in line for over an hour and he is going to ride the pony, whether he likes it or not. They all laughed.
Then there was Sky, who laughed the whole ride. He thought it was great!

After the pony ride, we still had tickets left, so Ryan and Angie took Ben and Sky on the hay ride, while Tyce and I stayed behind.
Tyce is getting so big. He is sitting up. He is so handsome!
Next we went to The Gardens. The boys loved the waterfalls.

Lastly, we ended up at the ark. They got a little wet, but then it was time to go home.
The funny thing about the whole thing is if Ben told anybody about his day, he would tell them about riding on the pony, because he had so much fun!!! It is a good thing kids have short term memories and tell what they want to tell. Thanks Ang for a wonderful day!

Peyton is here

We were so excited for the day to arrive that my sis had her baby. Her doctor had a feeling that he needed to have her do a C section, because her last baby got stuck, and boy was the doc ever right. Peyton weighed 11 pounds. We were all shocked. Before he arrived we were guessing he would weigh 9 pounds, oh no we were all Wrong! It was kind of shocking to here what he weighed and then to see him in the NICU by other 1 or 2 pound babies, made it very comical. He was so big they had to make sure he was okay, hence the NICU.

Baby Peyton- He is adorable!!
Ben and Christian- Best Buddies! But watch out they are partners in crime-
Ty holding Peyton.
Sara and Peyton- what a proud cousin!

Where did summer go???

I love Summer!!! Baseball games, swimming, late nights, night games, vacations, and the list goes on.... But this summer, it seemed to have only lasted one month. And in a way it kind of did, with June being rainy, man it is crazy school is starting once again. Even though summer was so short the kids are excited to be back in, especially since they all got fabulous teachers.

Nicole is in Miss H's class. She was so excited to get her since both Sara and Ty had her as well.
She has lots of friends in her class, and is so excited to make more.
Tyler with his teacher. He didn't want me to take a picture, but oh well I won!!! He is getting old enough that he is thinks I am embarrassing. But I do it because I love him!

Sara's First Day at ALA

On Aug. 17th Sara started her first day of school at American Leadership Academy. She was excited, nervous, scared, and many other emotions. I can't believe she is already in 5th grade. She is growing up so fast. Before I know it she will be in high school. She is just a sweet girl, always helpful and kind to everyone. I love you Sara!

Meeska, Mooska, Mickey Mouse

This is a long post, but it was such a fun birthday party. Ben is completely obsessed with Mickey Mouse Club House so we did a Mickey Mouse birthday party. I tried to make it just like the show. Here are the kids getting ready to go to the club house. But before they could enter into the backyard we had to sing the Meeska Mooska Mickey Mouse so that the club house would appear. It was so cute. We played the song and for roll call dubbed in the kids names instead of the Disney Characters.
Entering in Mickey Mouse Club House.

Mickey left a bag of equipment for the kids to play with since he couldn't make it to the party. But when we found the bag it was empty, and so the search for the missing equipment started. But first we needed our Mousekatools. So we had Oh toodles song playing, and Nicole danced around carrying Toodles with all of the clues on it.
They could use a ladder, blanket and book, a board, Mickey Ears, and of course the Mystery tool.
The kids followed bear tracks to the front yard, and in the tree were cones. But how can they get them down? They had to call on Toodles for help.
They decided the ladder would help them get the cones out of the tree. They took turns getting cones out.
Then they noticed there were shapes on the ground. A row of circles that led to the road, a row of squares that led to the neigbors house, and a row of triangles that led to the front door. They decided to follow the triangles. But when they got to the front door, they saw a Big Brown Bear, so they couldn't get by. So what did they do??? (There expressions were so cute) They called for Toodles.
They decided to use the blanket and story book to put the bear to sleep so that they could tip toe tip toe tip toe past the bear.
Once inside the house, the bear tracks led them to the kitchen. They spotted a poster of Mickey Mouse, but something was missing??? This Ears. So once again they called upon Toodles for help.
They each pinned the ears on Mickey and then received their own ears to wear.
Ben wearing his cute Mickey Mouse Ears.
Smile big!!!
The footprints then led them to the living room, but they couldn't get outside, because Pete was blocking the door. Pete was holding the key and the only way to get the key was to throw bean bags at his belly.

Ben got the key to fall out of Petes hand. It wasn't planned to happen that way, but hey it worked out better. He was so excited to get the key. So Ben opened the back door, and they all followed the feet to . . .
The Backyard, where they were stopped by a pool of water. They could see balls on the other side of the pool, but could not reach them so they called for Toodles for help.
The board was perfect for them to use to cross the pool and get a ball.

After they got the balls, we talked about what clues they got... Balls, Cones, Mickey Ears, but they still didn't know what game Mickey wanted them to play, so we found a Mickey puzzle on the table. Pieces to the puzzle were missing, so they asked Toodles for help, and the myster tool was the missing puzzle pieces. The puzzle was of Mickey playing soccer. So we then did the Hot Dog Dance, and then played Soccer.
Finally it was time for treats- We made Mickey Mouse Ice Cream heads.
After ice cream, it was time to open presents.

Ben showing off his strong muscles.

Since the county fair was going on, after his party was over we went down to see how the kids did in the fair with their photos and pictures and to see the animals. Ben was disgusted by the smells. He plugged his nose the whole time.
That night he opened presents from us.... Soccer outfit,
Webkinz Jr.
His bery own chocolate for his milk,
and his Bike.
Then he decided he needed his tools to fix his scooter. It was such a fun Birthday! I can't believe he is already 3. We love you Ben!
